Paper Conservation Inspection & Documentation Workstation

Product Positioning

Designed for observing, inspecting, mending, tracing, copying, photographing, scanning and documenting the conservation of archives, rare books, paper records, long-format Chinese paintings, calligraphy and tracing materials. The workstation can be configured with lifting, transmitted-light, imaging, lighting, magnification and other workflow-specific modules.

Product Overview

The workstation supports examination, imaging, documentation and hands-on treatment throughout paper conservation. Available functions include high-resolution photography and scanning, a camera stand, an LED copy board, magnified observation, professional task lighting, manual or powered height adjustment, transmitted-light and tilting work surfaces, washing capability and combined-bench structures.

Its modular, expandable design can be configured around the object, treatment workflow, room dimensions and operator requirements.

Inspection & Documentation Functions

High-Resolution Capture, Scanning & Archiving

A high-resolution document-imaging unit can support pre-treatment examination, process documentation and post-treatment digital archiving.

Adjustable Camera Support

An adjustable support can carry a DSLR or compatible imaging device; length, height and angle can be adapted to different object sizes and capture positions.

LED Copying & Transmitted-Light Observation

An A2 LED copy board uses a cold, UV-free light source with stepless touch dimming for observation, tracing, loss inspection and related treatment work.

Magnified Observation

Standard and articulated long-arm magnifiers are available. The long-arm option uses a 10× white-glass lens and UV-free LED cold light for examining fibres, losses, staining and local details.

Professional Task Lighting

An articulated long-arm LED task lamp with colour-rendering index ≥Ra90 supports close observation and treatment.

Height-Adjustable Workstation Module

The workstation can use manual or powered height adjustment. The welded carbon-steel lifting frame incorporates a self-locking mechanism, with a solid-wood worktop and nylon feet. Dimensions can be customized around object quantity and size. Adjustable working height improves ergonomics during prolonged examination and treatment.

Transmitted-Light Inspection & Treatment Module

Application

Suitable for observation, tracing, copying, mending and mounting of long-format Chinese paintings, calligraphy, rare books, tracing materials, archives and other paper records.

Structure & Lighting

The work surface uses an ergonomic forward/backward tilt, 8 mm tempered glass and a 12 V low-voltage LED diffuse cold-light system. Even illumination with 0–100% stepless dimming supports transmitted-light examination and treatment decisions.
