Walk-In Freezing Chamber

I. Configuration Overview

The Walk-In Freezing Chamber is a room-scale low-temperature treatment configuration under the Museum Collection Freezing System for Pest Control product page. It is suitable for batch low-temperature pest treatment of archives, books and other collection materials.

The system combines low temperature and drying. Cooling, low-temperature holding, warming and dehumidification control pests in collection materials while maintaining a relatively stable humidity environment during treatment.

This configuration is suitable for museums, archives, libraries and professional collecting institutions requiring high treatment capacity, a fixed treatment space and batch-loading capability.

II. Treatment Principle

The system uses T.R.T low-temperature pest-control and disinfection technology. It lowers the temperature in the treatment space and combines this with drying to treat pests in archives and collection materials.

Prolonged low temperature can reduce pest enzyme activity and terminate normal metabolic activity. Once pests enter the lethal temperature range, free water in their bodies freezes and forms ice crystals that damage cell structures, thereby achieving pest control.

After low-temperature treatment, the system warms and dehumidifies the space so that it gradually returns to ambient temperature.

III. Key Functions

3.1 Low-Temperature Pest Treatment: The system can lower the treatment space from ambient temperature to below -40℃ in approximately 120 minutes, hold it at -40℃ for approximately 48 hours, and then gradually return it to ambient temperature.

3.2 Penetrating Freezing Treatment: Low temperature can act on archive boxes, boxed loads, bagged loads and other loading forms to treat the collection materials throughout.

3.3 Drying & Humidity Protection: Dehumidification starts after the stopped system warms to 0℃, and humidity in the chamber is controlled while it warms to ambient temperature. After treatment, chamber humidity can be maintained within 45%~65%RH.

3.4 Automatic Control: The system supports automatic and manual operation, with selectable intensive, standard and rapid treatment modes.

3.5 Monitoring & Data Recording: The system displays operating status and temperature in real time and records current alarms, historical alarms, historical data and parameter settings. A USB interface connects external equipment to display, generate or print temperature-data curves and charts.

3.6 Optional Remote Monitoring: Remote communications can be configured for off-site monitoring, historical-record viewing, and email and SMS alarms.

3.7 Optional Remote Control: A mobile app can operate on-site equipment within network coverage; the remote parameter screen is identical to the touchscreen.
